I quickly got my own house ready for the market and interviewed 3 brokers.  I hadn't planned on using Mark to list my property... but he showed up with a powerpoint presentation, asked me to have my PC ready, and explained how he would use the Internet to support marketing in a tough market. All of the other brokers seemed "old fashioned" compared to Mark. I gave him the listing on the spot. And, to make it even more incredible, he found a buyer within 2 weeks and I closed on both properties the very same day!  I wasn't out a penny on the two mortgages. Does it get better than that? The Christensen's - "Mark's negotiating skills were superior.  As a result, our house sold within 2 weeks.  We only had 1 buyer make an offer.  Mark told us we needed to negotiate with this buyer because we may not have another offer.  As it turned out, we were at the beginning of the real estate meltdown and would never have sold the house for as much money if we did not listen to Mark.

Mark and I worked as a team to determine what pictures and verbal description to put in the listing.  He also advertised my house on many websites which is crucial to selling a house in today's world.

His contracting experience also came in handy.  He painted a door for us because we did not have time (at no charge).   The Home Inspector cited a RED listed item with the water heater wiring   It turned out that it is an energy saver feature installed by Dominion Power.  Mark knew about it when the home inspector did not saving us time and money".
